Panimacoc is a village in Tecpán, Chimaltenango; where we found Don Guadalupe Cutzal, a small entrepreneur that has a small workshop that gives work to men and women in his community. Don Guadalupe has been hired as a consultant by Kiej de los Bosques to improve the workmanship of several groups we have worked with, and is currently producing the first orders of “Journey Companions”.

The women weave the fabrics in the foot looms and the men manufacture the dolls.The idea is, that as sales increase, Don Guadalupe will start training new groups to make Companions, so our production capacity will grow to meet the market demand. Don Guadalupe´s vision is very efficient oriented, he is a great role model for his community and many other rural communities in Guatemala, that remembers us that everything is possible when we have a dream and have the perseverance to achieve it!
